Limited and shrinking news budgets have created significant gaps in reporting from the state capital. Washington State University's Murrow News Service can fill many of those gaps by providing a reliable stream of content for online news sites, newspapers and broadcasters throughout the region.
The Murrow News Service-Olympia is a new, year-round pilot student news program that will pair Murrow students aspiring to multi-platform news reporting careers with professional news organizations. Our Olympia students are based during this spring semester in the newsroom of The Olympian daily newspaper at the state capital.
