Finding Salvaged Building Materials in the Northwest

Recycled building materials are especially popular east of the Cascades around Seattle.  And if you are creative, you can find interesting and unique materials no matter where you live in the Northwest.  Habitat for Humanity now has resale stores and you may discover wonderful items in your neighborhood antique store or local garage sale.

I recently spoke to general manager Dirk Wassink of Second Use Building Materials in Seattle about this burgeoning industry.
